The air is alive, buzzing uncontrollably with interpersonal excitement, but amazingly you are still alone. If only these social butterflies could see things from through eyes. Only then might the fanatics understand why you’d rather drift into a different state. Some things are just more intriguing when seen from afar. More tolerable, too.

Why allow the memory of rejection or embarrassment threaten your security in the present when you could open your heart to therapeutically nourishing new experiences? When all else fails, love is the most effortless form of absolution.
