CAPRICORN FULL MOON
7/19/2016 @ 6:57 pm EST
Numerology of the Day: 8
[7+1+9+2+0+1+6= 26 = 2+6 = 8]
What goes around comes around is the idea behind the number 8. Just like the symbol of infinity, this number embodies endlessness. 8 can be the gift that keeps on giving, or it can represent the shackles of bondage to an oppressive circumstance. The result of the 8 energy depends on how its power is wielded. The get back is only as strong as the put out, sort of like karma. Or exactly like karma. If every action has an equal and opposite reaction, then whoever reads this better act accordingly, or else.
Once this personal responsibility is assumed, 8 can elevate ordinary individuals to executive heights. 8 is related to the archetype of the boss, one who has self-control and well as power of the circumstances of subordinates. Ambition, business, and corporation all fall under the rule of this authoritative number. Not so positively, the number 8 may be cumbersome and sensitive to the pressures of this gravitational existence, so people who identify with this vibration must often fight through fatalism. With discipline and balance, 8 can achieve greatness.
Major Arcana Tarot Correspondence for Capricorn:
XV | The Devil
Some might say that Hell is really here on Earth. In that case, it would be advisable to look at this physical dimension as The Devil’s dominion. Who better then to call upon than this guy to make the most of this material world and master the five senses? When his energy is harnessed with “upright” intentions, The Devil can be a great taskmaster who bestows lessons of discipline and concentration unto his ambitious students. This card appears to endorse the value of not only respecting, but also working optimally within a defined set of boundaries. The ones who overstep those boundaries, however, are likely to have a much different experience of this wicked archetype upon which the unconscious idea of evil is projected.
The Devil is concerned only with the “real” world. Spirituality, enlightenment, and love are not so important in this realm, and those qualities are probably lacking when this card is drawn. The Devil is a reminder that as one endeavors toward the most impressive peaks of professional success and tangible attainment, the calculation and determination that are required to dominate the earth element leave little room for the consideration of abstract sentiment. At its most decadent, The Devil is bound unapologetically to the temporarily gratifying but insidiously destructive pleasures of the flesh, ranging from a little raunchy to incredibly grotesque, possibly to the detriment of the “higher self” and the accomplishments toward which one strives. A sacrifice might be in order.
The Full Moon is the monthly separation of the Sun [ego, identity, expression] and Moon [empathy, intuition, emotion], as they assume their most distant positions in opposite signs. This great space between our luminary bodies allows for a more comprehensive awareness of the energy that has been building, as the moon is illuminated to maximum capacity, revealing momentarily the mysteries of the creation cycle that once were [and will be again] concealed behind the nocturnal veil. Just as visibility increases to supernatural proportions, the emotional atmosphere is heightened prompting what seem to be unusual experiences and outbursts. The earthly realm becomes a mirror image of this cosmic standoff. Holistic awareness and dynamic self-expression are the blessings of the full moon, but a long overdue confrontation could be the prerequisite roadblock that makes it challenging to receive them. The goal is to recognize hidden facets of self instead of projecting dark revelations onto partners/opponents. Then and only then will personal balance be made possible, and thus all else is resolved. In the meantime, as the opposition builds, be prepared to go back and forth.
The Sun is giving us a glimpse into the mushy inner world of Cancer’s tough shell, but the Moon’s transition into hard-bodied Capricorn will give us a better view. Why is Capricorn considered opposite of sensitive Cancer?

Feeling crabby? The atmosphere is touchy, so it will take great strength to avoid a showdown. Nobody is going out looking for trouble, but when sensitivity is enhanced as it is right now, offense is easily taken. You may be quick to claw today if someone rubs you the wrong way, but be careful not to be too aggressive with the wrong opponent, as a relentless memory plus hurt feelings could prove a deadly combination down the road. Before you attack, ask yourself if it is worth it to initiate an epic saga over a temporary emotion. Chances are the answer is no.

If there’s any sort of struggle today, it’s between your goal of achieving the impossible and the limitations that have held you back for so long. Where you have obeyed boundaries before you are willing to push against them. If an objective were beyond the realm of realization, why then would God allow you imagine it so vividly?
As if it weren’t enough trying to overcome self-imposed blockages, you may be confronted by external doubt, as The Ones around you may find it more appropriate to brace you with all the reasons it won’t work than to be supportive. Let today be a lesson in encouragement: it won’t always be there for you to receive. Continue reading
A foreword of sorts: there’s not much out there on the asteroid goddesses, so I find myself beginning to focus more on them when it comes to special blog posts [aside from my daily 4cast horoscopes]. There are hundreds, possibly thousands of sites that track the transits of the main planets, so it is my personal mission [very Vesta in Aries, huh?] to fill the void, as I believe the asteroid goddesses bring a much needed fullness and femininity to astrology. For a quick, painless introduction of the 4 main asteroid goddesses, click here. With that said, let’s get into it.
Vesta enters Aries today until March 8, 2016 [note: she will retrograde on August 12 and dip back into Pisces before resuming forward motion on November 13], and so we begin the next cycle of personal purity, divine sexuality, and the renewal of our virginity thru ritual cleansing of mind, body, and soul. Remember, Vesta is the keeper of the flame, the sacred sister who keeps us centered, the one who we trust because she has her shit together and inspires everyone around her to do the same.

– Moon [in Leo] opposite Mercury/Venus [in Aquarius]
– Moon [in Leo] trine Saturn/Pallas [in Sagittarius]
if you’re vehemently preaching the freedom of long distance love or proclaiming how need more space, make sure you’re not still projecting your appetite for attachment onto the very person you know will give it to you. if you’re really trying to change your ways, you wouldn’t enable or sabotage your effort with the crippling “security” of sameness. it possible that by the end of the day you will feel the incongruously odd dichotomy of escaping into a daydream of boundless solitude while subconsciously basking in the debilitatingly familiar barrage of affection. you could very well have put yourself in a position that asks you to sacrifice the satisfaction of your ego for true union or adjust spiritually to the chill of being alone.

Any sort of centralized control will provoke a penetrating response that reverberates with enough emotional force to erode a coat of armor. This is what you get when you try to suppress the participation of a faction that feels the need to be involved in the process. How much are you willing to share? It is not necessarily that you’re power hungry or totalitarian, as much as you are protective of that which is sacred to you.

It does everything but announce itself, and it is still so incredibly apparent. An air of dubious elitism is infiltrating the atmosphere and eliciting violent reactions amongst the civilians. It seems as though the figures of authority and those of self-appointed superiority are using their status to oppress the people by obscuring the truth.
one of the great things about roots is how they provide the tree with the support necessary to uphold its composure as it climbs great heights. if there is no foundation, there is no growth. that said, the fullest way for the tree to honor its roots is to challenge itself to reach higher than it ever has. after all, isn’t that the purpose of planting seeds in the first place?
with the sun in cancer, we are focused on the acknowledgment of the deepest, most familiar facets of our personhood. to nourish and protect the life force within is the instinct that keeps each species going from generation to generation. It may not always make rational sense, but thanks to intuition and the assortment of other gifts stored away in our ancestral goodie bags, we know what we have to do at any given moment to preserve this fragile existence. to sustain our lineage is encoded in our dna.
before we get too comfortable, we must remember that no matter how well acclimatized we are, every season presents its challenges. without the occasional obstacle, the experience of life would be too subjective to sustain the dynamism of authentic expression in all its completeness. that is where the full moon in capricorn, which opposes the cancer sun, comes into play. we are feeling the subconscious call to endeavor toward the practical attainment of worldly accomplishment. our survival skills mean little if we do not at some point assume responsibility for the successful advancement of the family name beyond the home and into the stratosphere of society. the tangible achievements we need to satisfy this obscure hunger are the products of structure, goals, and concentrated motivation.
