It is important occasionally to shift your perspective from one of duality to one of unity. For example, instead of viewing your environment and the nouns, verbs, and adjectives that comprise it as separate from you, maybe it’s possible to adopt a more holistic viewpoint. When you begin to perceive major life events as divinely orchestrated singular occurrences, for which these individuals factions have been brought together to fulfill a larger function, then it becomes easier to see the big, interconnected picture.

A degree of dexterity can make all the difference when you have a lot to handle. Although you have a lot to juggle, you’re not necessarily in a difficult situation unless you make it so. In order to keep your affairs as simple as possible, you must be practical and execute your every action with efficiency, lest you want a potentially easy process to be overwhelmed by disorganization.

Inhale to find inspiration in a breath of fresh air. Motivated by an unconventional conversation, respiration seems to have a purpose once more. If you exhale at the right moment, you might just sync your pulse with the biorhythmic metronome of another, despite the fact that your basslines will probably be syncopated by the time you both notice.

A healthy appetite can be quite compelling, but it is important to recognize when you’re hungry versus when you’re trying to fill a hole. If you’re soaking up everything in your environment to escape the confines of the cold, hard truth, you could develop an issue with addiction, which is a form of self-sabotage. Continue reading

You’ve got to be damn passionate as a person to put yourself in the presidential position. To be the source of so much power is no small task, as such an individual must be strategic in order to anticipate and protect against any offense. Once you find yourself in a high-ranking position, your ability to exercise self-control will reveal a lot about the strength of your will, as many people would sooner be enchanted by the quick fixes that are so much more accessible to influential types.

No matter how much of yourself you give, there might still be someone who feels as though they’ve been gipped. There’s no way for your gifts to be received by everyone, because even when you believe you have enough to share, some people will refuse to accept any offering that comes from somebody like you. Then there are always the disappointed individuals who catch you on a day when you’ve got nothing to spare. Try not to feel let your self-worth be affected by being empty handed or overlooked.

Release those romanticized, unreasonable ideals about pleasing everyone. Being considerate of other people’s needs is on one hand selfless, but when external necessity starts to weigh you down with feelings of guilt or an oppressive sense of duty, you must make the decision to stop sacrificing your comfort to appease another’s. At the end of the day, you don’t owe anybody anything, so stop being a slave to someone else’s value system. Quit worrying about those who, for whatever reason, are not able to reap your benefits, and celebrate the gratitude of The Ones who are able to enjoy your presence. Some souls are meant to get lost in the transaction, because everything is not meant for everybody. Peace be with them.

There’s something special and exclusive about the bond of family. The rules are just different when it comes to The Ones you keep close to your heart, in that most are willing to bend them with no questions asked. In some cases there are no rules, no boundaries, just the instinct to be the ideal relative. The ideal to go above and beyond in your expressions of support, even if the support you administer makes no logical sense. That’s the way love goes.

What is most important to you when it comes to your loved ones? Are you able to give them what they need or is it possible they’re asking for more than you are capable of giving? Is the love you receive dependent on certain conditions, or is your home happy under any circumstance? If there is something that needs to be said, now is your opportunity to be heard by even the most intimidating authority, and the response you’re looking for isn’t likely to be that far out of the question.

new moon focus: 1 [#StarsAndSymbols]

similar to my Full Moon Reflections, I intend to begin a series of New Moon Focus posts, in which I highlight the themes of this monthly lunar phenomenon.

in astrology, a conjunction is an incredibly potent concentration of energy, caused by at least two planets coming together in the same sign. any two planets can form a conjunction, but when the sun and moon come together, their energies when blended galvanize a creative fertility, a rich cosmic occurrence comparable to the moment of reproductive conception. basically, the new moon more than any other planetary conjunction is a breeding ground of previously unexplored possibility.

If sharing is caring, then how much do you care? The answer to that question is bound to be different depending on whom you ask. You may prefer to keep certain things to yourself, but there is something to be gained with every part of your heart that is given away.
