Gone are the days when you would allow an outside source take control of your affairs. You have your own voice and you are no longer afraid to use it. In all actuality, you don’t have to say much at all to get your point across. The poise you exude, which is both regal and fierce, speaks volumes. If there is work to be done, you are more than capable of calling the shots and handling your business.

If you were known previously as someone who was more passive than aggressive, The Others may be inclined to challenge, mock, or react defiantly against your attempts to assert yourself more directly. Conflicts may arise in your most intimate relationships, as you are evolving beyond the person you used to be. This evolution could pose a threat to the foundation of your partnership, as you have now outgrown the role you initially agreed to play. Allow not these interferences to deter you from expressing yourself freely, as this process is beneficial in the most therapeutic way.

ceres in aquarius: the madness of loss and grief [#StarsAndSymbols]

I recently posted a Facebook status on the asteroid goddess Ceres’ transit into Aquarius, as it met up in a conjunction with my Aquarius moon. Here’s an excerpt:

I have to watch for overeating and emotional eating, as the moon is always hungry for something (especially when upset) and ceres WILL feed it.

The mythology and astrology of Ceres, which sits at the apex of my chart conjunct my Midheaven, has become very important to me as I learn more about it. I am compelled to explore it more. There aren’t many articles or interpretations of any of the asteroids, so maybe I can be the change and provide some insight based on my experiences and perspective. Very Cereal/Aquarian of me, right?

So Ceres, the HBIC of Agriculture and grains [cere-al], is mad tight with her beautiful daughter Persephone, “coochie crunch” as my friend says. Persephone is literally inseparable from her mother, despite the fact that she’s hot and every guy wants a taste. Plot twist: one day Persephone gets abducted by her lusty uncle Pluto, Ceres’ brother. After Ceres “raises hell” and starves the mortal people in her grief, she negotiates a deal with her other brother Zeus [king of the Gods or whatever], where she receives temporary custody of Persephone for half the year. She is forced to share her beloved daughter with Pluto, lord of the underworld.

Ceres in astrology is the polarity of nourishment and decay. How we cope, what suffers most in our grieving process, the thing[s] that sustain us in the coldest, darkest winters… All Ceres. Just as Ceres experienced the heart-wrenching loss of her well-developed daughter, Ceres in each sign determines the degree to which separation can become an issue.

Every legend has a backstory, so if you intend to leave a legacy, you better make sure you have a good myth. A compelling tale is the difference between an icon and a one hit wonder. Although most biographies contain a bit of embellishment, you don’t have to stray very far from the truth to make interesting your history. Make a list of the five most exciting moments you have ever experienced, as well as the five most unpleasant moments that you’d like to forget. From there your story will formulate itself, as your passionate recollections will naturally animate your memories without having to resort to deception.
