No matter how fired up and ready to go you are, you are confronted today by the reality that life is a process that cannot be rushed. Excellence takes time, just ask the seasonal fruit that is forced to wait its turn, regardless of how eager it may be to bloom into its fated beauty. Why, though, does this slow and steady development have to be such an existential crisis?
Maybe it has something to do with the way your mind wanders when you have no choice but to be still and wait. Perhaps the fact that your seed hasn’t yet blossomed reminds you of some old instance when you anticipated a yield that didn’t quite live up to your dreams, or even worse, a yield that never actually yielded anything at all. It’s almost tempting not to dream at all when you remember the embarrassment, especially when it seems like the fruits of your neighbor’s garden are the talk of the town.

Everything makes more sense now that you’ve arrived a place of quietude and relative stillness. Now that you’re observing the world from a slower vantage point, you’re able to notice beautiful little nuances that usually go unnoticed. The constitution of nature is comprised of some timelessly intricate patterns and they are sure to leave quite an impression on anyone who takes the time to notice and appreciate them.
Just as you are cognizant of life’s simple pleasure, you are also painfully aware of the painful complexities, such as oppression, injustice, and discrimination. It hurts your head to think that such cruelty exists, whether or not you experience it personally. Why can’t life be rainbows and butterflies?

What you need is balance, but you’re willing to at least consider tipping the scales for the sake of a good time. Priorities are what they are, but merriment and revelry are waiting on you at the door, and nothing nourishes your soul today more than getting together with your people to celebrate. You meet your commitments and obligations, but there is something more exciting pulling at your shirt sleeve, promising you the time of your life.
Go have a crazy time with a group of the wildest people you can find. Notice how fulfilled you feel. It’s almost like you lose yourself and the worries that typically occupy your mind. It’s like the regular you dies and is reborn into group ego, where every faction operates as one unit of electric ecstasy. Continue reading

As zen as you may be, your easygoing demeanor is not an automatic guarantee that everyone else is on the same wavelength. In fact, it seems as if you’re the only one who’s not worked up. Whatever The Others are going through does not seem to affect you, which is fine, but is there anyway you could relate to this apparently external struggle?

It’s like you have you were born to soothe everyone else’s vulnerabilities, but when it comes to your own soft spot, you can’t quite figure out how to give it an adequate amount of TLC. If you manage to come up for air and attain a moment of objectivity, you might find that you have been lost in a world of problems that are not your own, addicted to the escape of someone else’s pain.
This is not to say your intentions aren’t upright. It is possible that you are supernaturally gifted with the ability to nurse your loved ones back to health and selfless enough to be of consistent service. What happens, though, when you have healed everyone around you and you’re left stricken with disillusion, sick at the notion of dealing with your own disease?
The trick is knowing how to initiate your personal therapeutic process. If it’s obvious you can’t follow your own rules, maybe it’s in your best interest to consult some wise professional to facilitate the exposition of all that has eluded you, both the complex psychological patterns and the practical solutions that are just sensible enough to go overlooked. There’s no feeling quite like being close to the cools kids, only to be denied to be denied entry when you overstep your bound. You’ve done everything you could possibly to do to prove you are down, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. What do you do with yourself when you’re not good enough?
Maybe the better question is what actually changes when you are met with acceptance liked you always hoped you would be? A feat like that probably requires a great deal of sacrifice, as well as an incredible amount of ego abnegation. After jumping through a flaming hoop or two, today you may finally be embraced by an organization that, albeit adjacent, always appeared out of your league. If you’re smart, you get to keep your name.
one minute the gears are grinding at an alarming speed, the next minute they have come to a screeching halt. one false move and the whole apparatus could implode. with all this starting and stopping and suddenness of movement, it is impossible to anticipate what exactly will happen next. i guess it’s best that we expect the unexpected. or maybe we should not to expect anything at all. realistically speaking, how can one accurately anticipate something that has never before been experienced? one can surely try, but it will be hard. there is an increasing uneasiness that many of us are feeling the world over due to a seemingly insurmountable inner friction, but instead of stressing, i suggest we channel this rigid anxiety productively to manifest success.
hitting snooze too many times because you drank too much at your best frenemy’s housewarming party the night before only to get pulled over for speeding on the expressway en route to work knowing damn well you were supposed to open today and you’ve already been late 2 times in the past week and you just hope the car doesn’t still smell like yesterday’s hotbox… that’s what this COULD feel like.
no pressure, but truth of the matter is that we are on the brink of an epic conflict, and “easy” is not a befitting adjective. this may sound intimidating, but before we retreat into defense mode thinking others are out to get us, we must recognize that this battle exists within us. our internal struggle may be triggered by outside influences, but these are just projections. taking responsibility for our actions in relationships and owning up to our external circumstances are necessary to reclaim our personal power, not to mention the difference between steering the ship and playing passenger to another captain. it is urgently imperative to remember that although we may be fighting against the world, the same war, the very source of our outward ambition, is being waged within. the moment we accept this as a cross to bear, regardless of its heaviness, is the moment that motivation to win will overcome us.
everywhere i go i see the same old riot. it would be too easy to up and leave and let the wind blow me away, but i know i’ll end up looking at a different face in a similar place. there’s no use for a revolution if the change is not my own.
liberation is my intention and so i am free. oppression is the only casualty, except i’m not fighting it on the outside. the war is within. it won’t be hard to win because i’m done defending myself against the enemies of my imagining. i’m staging a rebellion. yes, it is finally happening.
i’m tired of taking it personally, so i’m beginning to embrace the distance. i will listen to listen and avoid the impaired vision of the automated reply. i was conditioned to strike back against a perceived attack rooted in the incidents of upbringing. my heart has been stringing along the truth that was hidden, and it’s time to unpack it.
the new moon in aquarius [exact thursday, january 30th in the eastern afternoon] is a chance to distance ourselves from the entrapment of attachment to the lower vibrations into which we so often settle. when the sun [conscious self-expression] and the moon [subconscious mind] meet up in the same degree of the same sign, our needs and our wants align to create the singularity that we need to bring something to life that did not previously exist.
“So what is the big deal about signs anyway?”
That is the question I’ve been asking lately, and I’ve received a great variety of answers. As someone who often feels intellectually outcast due to what are usually considered “alternative” points of view, I didn’t honestly expect to encounter many people who think and feel the way I do about “this kind of stuff”, outside of a metaphysical forum or some other online support group for energetically interpretive abstracts such as I. To my surprise, the replies to my question have been quite inspiring.
For the past 2 weeks, I have been hosting Stars & Symbols Spa Parties. Shining a light on occult symbolism and sharing my astrological/numerological interpretations with these ladies has been a mutually amazing learning experience. Nothing feels better than resonating with people at the core of their being, while simultaneously being privileged enough to have them share their own spiritual journeys. I even received a gift last night at the 4th and final Spa Party, which was a set of astrology themed divination cards.
The best part of this experience was the discovery that many of these ladies were already following the signs before I even met them (which shouldn’t be as shocking as it is to me, considering they all signed up in the first place…)! Their awareness of the significance of the cosmic messages they receive on a daily basis not only blew me away, but provided me with a solid foundation upon which to build during each individual consultation, as well as our group discussions.
