Just because you’re motivated doesn’t mean you have to speed through this new experience in some frenetic frenzy. Moving at such an extreme pace can be a rush, sure, but life can only be so thrilling when you are moving too fast to take a sufficient breath. Focus on the excitement of moment, and notice how it feels when you stay in it instead of thrashing onward with no regard for the gift of the present.

A painful past shouldn’t invalidate the perfection you feel in the present moment. If your view when you open your eyes coincides with your vision of your most vivid dream, then all is well in the world. Why not forget about the yesterdays and tomorrows, revel in the next level fulfillment of the here and now, and be regenerated from the inside out by the exhilaration of spiritual contentment? multitask mastery: 7/20/14 [#MyBestWeek]

Screen shot 2014-01-13 at 3.46.03 AM

two hands are required to keep up a juggling act, so it is best that we pray for dexterity this week. after all, nobody wants to known as the one who dropped the ball, especially if that ball happens to be plural. that would just be a mess, wouldn’t it?

the development of expansive concentration will prove to be beneficial. when trying to cope with the madness of multiplicity, we can strengthen our attention to the small stuff by infusing it with the higher mind of awareness. that way we are able to focus on the task at hand without being blindsided by that thing that has been creeping on us from behind to topple the balance we worked so hard to strike. most of don’t have eyes in the backs of our heads, but we can still turn around every now and then to check up on all sides.

the roots & the tree: capricorn full moon [#StarsAndSymbols]

one of the great things about roots is how they provide the tree with the support necessary to uphold its composure as it climbs great heights. if there is no foundation, there is no growth. that said, the fullest way for the tree to honor its roots is to challenge itself to reach higher than it ever has. after all, isn’t that the purpose of planting seeds in the first place?

with the sun in cancer, we are focused on the acknowledgment of the deepest, most familiar facets of our personhood. to nourish and protect the life force within is the instinct that keeps each species going from generation to generation. It may not always make rational sense, but thanks to intuition and the assortment of other gifts stored away in our ancestral goodie bags, we know what we have to do at any given moment to preserve this fragile existence. to sustain our lineage is encoded in our dna.

before we get too comfortable, we must remember that no matter how well acclimatized we are, every season presents its challenges. without the occasional obstacle, the experience of life would be too subjective to sustain the dynamism of authentic expression in all its completeness. that is where the full moon in capricorn, which opposes the cancer sun, comes into play. we are feeling the subconscious call to endeavor toward the practical attainment of worldly accomplishment. our survival skills mean little if we do not at some point assume responsibility for the successful advancement of the family name beyond the home and into the stratosphere of society. the tangible achievements we need to satisfy this obscure hunger are the products of structure, goals, and concentrated motivation.

a word with my senior self: full moon in capricorn [astroloco]

the cancer/capricorn opposition deals with the dynamic of growing up. cancer is childhood: the privacy of the home environment, where we come from and how we feel about it. capricorn is adulthood: the publicity of the world stage, where we are going and how we plan to get there. to balance this opposition of the full moon in capricorn, we must find a way to bridge the gap of maturity by stripping away the Pamper of insecurity and stepping into the uniform of authority.

i received an idea on the full moon. although we grow in a multitude of ways over the duration of our lives that might render us unrecognizable to the naked eye, we are essentially the same person. i decided to write a letter to the most full-grown version of myself and I invite you all to do the same. not only is this intimate and inspiring, but it is also a form of creative visualization that is helpful for the intimidating transition from youth to elder. we must take responsibility for our future, but first we must clearly envision it.  here are my words…

the aftershock: full moon in scorpio [astroloco]

What was revealed to you under yesterday’s Full Moon in Scorpio?

An empowering new source of income? The hidden, ulterior motive of a “loved one”? A new level of intimacy in your relationship? Maybe you allowed yourself to dig a little deeper into your OWN psychology, shining the light of clarity onto your obsessive compulsions.

In order to be grounded in reality, we must occasionally submerge into the dark recesses of the subconscious underworld. There are many treasures waiting there for those creative enough to see potential in latent resources, and patient enough to reawaken them.

Because the Full Moon was also a Lunar Eclipse, whatever discoveries you made are likely to be life changing. You are leaving behind the past, and stepping into the present. The moment. The now.

passion in every peace: full moon in scorpio [astroloco]

scorpio

What we value is being transformed by the revelation of a mystery. If yesterday is history, then why is the present tense? Flexibility is perplexing, but there is great release in the occasional stretch. Although we’re being pulled in opposite directions, balance is the selection to ensure cosmic protection.

There is pain in every pleasure.
There is power in every potential.
There is passion in every peace.
