libra full moon/lunar eclipse 2016 [#StarsAndSymbols]

2016’s Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Libra is exact on March 23rd @ 8:01 am EST.

The Sun [in Aries] opposite the Moon [in Libra] shines a light on our interpersonal conflicts, and wishfully, our capability to maintain a peaceful balance, or at the very least, fight for justice. Aries energy thrives on conflict, whereas Libra is thrown off by disagreement, although Libra will gladly seek retribution when treated unfairly until balance is restored.

Aside from the Sun [conscious will] and Moon [subconscious instincts] being opposite, as they are every Full Moon, there are some other notable aspects happening at the climax of our monthly lunar cycle.

Asteroid Ceres [the all-nourishing mother] will be minutes away from an exact conjunction with Chiron [the wounded healer] in Pisces, the sign of mysticism and illusion. This asteroid conjunction is close to forming an exact opposition to the North Node [destiny] in Virgo, the sign of purity and self-improvement. This could indicates some sort of trauma event from the past, maybe some sort of loss or separation, that has been left unresolved, but is now resurfacing. In order to move forward, as the North Node urges us to do, we have to confront yesterday’s wounds to cultivate healing. This aspect also indicates a potentially self-sabotaging tendency to become unhealthily attached, perhaps to addictive substances as Ceres/Chiron occupy Pisces.

The next notable aspect is a square between Jupiter in Virgo and Saturn in Sagittarius, which is exact at the same time the Full Moon reaches its climax. This aspect indicates a crisis that revolves around the dichotomy of expansion [Jupiter] and contraction [Saturn]. Yes, the tension surrounding our growth and maturity is likely to be highlighted, but the discomfort of this square aspect will motivate us to get up and do something about it. There are no corners to be cut when it comes to our advancement, and although the work we have to do may feel at times burdensome, the reward will be well work it and long lasting. This aspect may also illuminate some issues with authority and personal responsibility, in addition to the sociopolitical issues [Sagittarius] that are all over the news right now.

It is important to note that this isn’t only an ordinary Full Moon, not that they’re ever ordinary, but an extraordinary Lunar Eclipse. When the Full Moon is obscured by the Earth’s shadow, the material world takes precedence as we realize the gravity of the new life we have manifested. This is a new era from which there will be no turning back.

And now, here is a card reading for guidance…

We have the opportunity now to draw from all of our resources, both earthly and otherwordly, seen and unseen, to propel us to victory. Every road traveled comes with its own set of obstacles, but the trick is to use the gifts with which we’ve been blessed to overcome them. It is crucial that we know what we are facing if we are to triumph, because every challenge are best handled with case by case specificity, because what worked in one instance might be completely unsuccessful in the next. Faith that every struggle will be ameliorated is great, but we must also observe the playing field (as well as other players) to strategize a win. Continue reading

What is a girl to do when there is work to be done but turn up is much too tempting to stay on task? Once you figure out the answer to that question, type it up and share it as a status so the whole world can see, because everyone is wondering the same thing. The atmosphere is much too conducive to a divine good time to keep your nose in a book of assignments.

Saturn in Sagittarius: A Line Drawn in the Name of Freedom [#StarsAndSymbols]

The unresolved issue of racism that has been swept under the rug or sugar-coated has resurfaced as an international conversation of white privilege, police brutality, and cultural appropriation. From the #BlackLivesMatter to the very recent #RachelDolezal case that has taken the internet by storm, it is apparent that we are not as post-racial as we’d like to believe. Then there’s the question of LGBTQ rights with gay marriage legalization and the big reveal [“coincidentally” synchronized with the Sagittarius Full Moon] of transgender male to female Caitlyn Jenner. Feminism is also a hot topic, and again, one that proves we are not as progressive as we may have thought. These might be seen as exclusively American, and to an extent maybe so, but just at look a all the riotous uprisings around the world, all in the name of freedom.

liberty-and-justice[1]

Speaking of Sagittarius [scroll up a little bit, Forgetful Freddie], Saturn has occupied this expansive sign since December. Saturn’s energy is that of a rigid taskmaster, The One who makes us face our fears in order to strengthen the foundation on which we stand. In the sign of truth, culture, and morality, Saturn pressures the people to draw a definitive line regarding those topics – or at to least to ask the tough questions that we as a global society tend to avoid [ie, “what does it mean to be black?” “am I born this way?” “why is it taboo to breastfeed in public?”]. Saturn, a reminder that we reap what we sow, rules results, consequences, and karma.

What happens when you become one with the collective unconscious? Of course, your capacity to speak the language of #StarsAndSymbols is heightened, as you are tuned into a right-brained realm where articulation as you know it is utterly impossible. The logical conclusions and linear chronology of the ego dissolve, leaving behind only a misty apparition of what you once were, as the essence of your being surrenders itself to the endlessness of spirit.
If, on the other hand, you resist this transcendent process in favor of your own man-made ecstasy, don’t be surprised when the structures of material world to which you cling are distorted in the most grotesque image of the other world that you are trying so desperately to avoid.

You have access to the psychic storage bin that houses the both the archetypes and zeitgeist of the humanity, and although your idea of reality is being twisted, it’s only scary when you try to escape it. Suppressing your super-dimensional connection results in confusion and deceit, and the space that was once so familiar will be perverted into something so ghastly, you will be impelled to run to the nearest temple and pray for salvation.

BeyondVeilArk

If, however, you are willing to peek beyond the veil, the mysteries that eluded you will start to make more sense, even if you can’t explain it all in words. By embracing your bond with universal infinity, your awareness of your own sensitivity will increase as well as your ability to identify illusion. Continue reading

opposite of addiction: pisces new moon [#StarsAndSymbols]

every sign has a low and high vibration. the quality of expression depends entirely on the individual. as the moon inches closer to its union with the sun in pisces, we are affected by an intensifying concentration of this inundating energy. many of us are being consumed by the cosmic atmosphere, so let’s take a moment to reflect on the fish…

pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, represents the transition between this world and the other world, with all the mysteries and magic one would imagine. straddling dimensions makes for an impressionably susceptible spirit, so piscean types require periodic escape from the day to day drama in order to purge themselves of other people’s energy. one of the traps that trips pisces up is addiction, as it can lose itself in the temporary satisfaction of some substance or distraction [alcohol, drugs, tv, religion, porn, food, gambling, etc], ignoring the issue without ever solving it. it can be a vicious cycle of self-sabotage, one that can be avoided by tuning our frequency to pisces’ higher vibration. but first, i believe we must answer this question:

what is the opposite of addiction?
