If you were a bit indecisive or scattered yesterday, you have arrived at a conclusion today. You probably had some time to rest, reflect, meditate, pray, think things through, weight your options, and most importantly listen to your heart. Now you know exactly what needs to be done to advance to the next level and intend to get to work immediately. The question is, will you do it?

You may be tempted to withhold your verdict to avoid a response of rejection, but remember that jumping to conclusions and projecting your assumptions is a surefire way to miss an opportunity to connect. A closed mouth simply does not get fed, just as a closed heart is unable to receive the love and support it so desperately needs. How can you expect to grow and if you’re holding on to the skin that you are meant to shed for fear of being cold and exposed?

Skin-Shedding-Photography-1

If you feel something, say something. Speak up.  Being vulnerable and revealing your emotional truth doesn’t make you weak or any less competent. If anything, it makes you relatable, which will garner support. Yes, there is a possibility that you may not get the feedback you anticipated, but life goes on.  Continue reading

ceres in aquarius: the madness of loss and grief [#StarsAndSymbols]

I recently posted a Facebook status on the asteroid goddess Ceres’ transit into Aquarius, as it met up in a conjunction with my Aquarius moon. Here’s an excerpt:

I have to watch for overeating and emotional eating, as the moon is always hungry for something (especially when upset) and ceres WILL feed it.

The mythology and astrology of Ceres, which sits at the apex of my chart conjunct my Midheaven, has become very important to me as I learn more about it. I am compelled to explore it more. There aren’t many articles or interpretations of any of the asteroids, so maybe I can be the change and provide some insight based on my experiences and perspective. Very Cereal/Aquarian of me, right?

So Ceres, the HBIC of Agriculture and grains [cere-al], is mad tight with her beautiful daughter Persephone, “coochie crunch” as my friend says. Persephone is literally inseparable from her mother, despite the fact that she’s hot and every guy wants a taste. Plot twist: one day Persephone gets abducted by her lusty uncle Pluto, Ceres’ brother. After Ceres “raises hell” and starves the mortal people in her grief, she negotiates a deal with her other brother Zeus [king of the Gods or whatever], where she receives temporary custody of Persephone for half the year. She is forced to share her beloved daughter with Pluto, lord of the underworld.

Ceres in astrology is the polarity of nourishment and decay. How we cope, what suffers most in our grieving process, the thing[s] that sustain us in the coldest, darkest winters… All Ceres. Just as Ceres experienced the heart-wrenching loss of her well-developed daughter, Ceres in each sign determines the degree to which separation can become an issue.

A little action goes a long way. You appreciate movement of any sort as you feel more impulsive than usual. A dynamic blend of aesthetic style and reckless abandon is the difference between yesterday’s interest and today’s irresistibility. If you were confused at all about what you wanted, now is your chance to make a bold choice. Attraction works, but your biggest asset is the confidence with which you pursue your desires.

Commitments made back in the days when you had more interpersonal patience could interfere with the independent urges that inspire you to motion today. Although having to compromise your schedule to oblige the agreements for which you have RSVP’d can be annoying, your participation in social engagements is likely to enhance your autonomy in ways you never would have realized. angles of danger by @R0BPro [#ScrambledArt]

Ever get the feeling that there are multiple things going on at once? Imagine how it would be if this were your reality. Well, who’s to say it’s isn’t?

At this very moment you could exist simultaneously in two contrasting halves, like two distant microchips attached to and tracked by the same computer. The Monster certainly does and that’s all that matters anymore. But how exactly did this potentially iconic super model switch from beloved to despicable?

Am I asking too many questions? My bad. It’s just that… Angles of Dangles is a provocative piece of work.

Good help can be hard to find, but today it’s a little easier and a lot closer. Reach out in your immediate environment because The Ones who are qualified to provide assistance are more than willing to receive you at this time. It may be more tough love than coddling, but the operative word is love, so try not to be so touchy and take what you can get. Oh, and just in case you “forgot”, call your mom to see how’s she’s doing.

You have the opportunity to make a big move or initiate a project you’ve been dreaming about. Make sure that you are clear before starting anything, as uncertainty or vagueness of any kind will have an adverse affect on your results down the line, and that would be a waste of this energy. a bird’s nest: cancer new moon [astroloco]

About a month or 2 ago, my family and I noticed a nest being constructed by a mother bird atop the ledge of our front door. Every time we went to enter or exit our house, we would disturb the bird, and she’d fly away. The loud, crisp flapping of her wings would startle me the first couple times, but eventually I began to anticipate her and she stopped flying away. My mom wanted to knock the nest down, but I thought it was special that out of all the houses on my street, she chose ours to call her home. We left the nest unbothered.

After her eggs hatched into baby birds, one of which I believe I caught a glimpse, I started seeing her less and less. The nest is still there, but the birds have flown elsewhere. I kind of miss seeing them perched above our doorway. Reminded me that although we are a suburban family, we are still living in nature (as if I weren’t still recovering from Pamela the Possum). Although they are not here anymore, they can return whenever they want, and they will be received the warmest of welcomes.

What is home? Is it the place we were born or the place we were raised? Or is it where we are? Maybe home is where we are going, or better yet where we want to be! As the birds know, home is any place that our wings spread, and even beyond the beds on which we rest. Regardless of our current residences, the nest will always be there, whether in the physical realm or in the sentimental dimension of memories. The New Moon in Cancer gives us the support we need to finally release our grip on the past. We feel secure enough to live in the present and foster the development of our emotional wellbeing, creative imagination, friends and family.

Life in the sky is full of ups, downs, wanes and waxes, but all is well when we fly with the wind, embracing each gust as it comes. No matter where the wind may carry us, we will always wind up exactly where we need to be. Welcome home!
