This reading is for me and anyone who shares my vibration

1.) “How will I enhance my life this week?”
: 10 of Cups

I get the most out of life when I take the time to recognize the power I possess to make real the life of my dreams. To celebrate my artistic ability, I might write a list of 10 Wishes That Have Come True. I could also ask myself “What do I love most right now about my life?” as a way of appreciating the moment and practicing gratitude for all that is blessed in the world.

2.) “What issue must I resolve this week?”
: 0 – The Fool

As much as I love my life, I am no stranger to the karmic difficulties of prior impatience, ignorance, and immaturity. There are no regrets, because what’s done is done, and so I take responsibility for creating these circumstances. The only way to move forward after is to get real about what went wrong and then dare to make it right.

3.) “What mystery is being revealed to me this week?”
: 10 of Pentacles

The “Good Life” is a fantasy that many of us entertain, but in the most practical sense, it comes only as a result of physical routine. In other words, my ritual must reinforce the reality that my imagination envisions as ideal if I intend to bring it into existence. The secret to the success I see in the outside world is exposed by the discovery of the blood, sweat, and tears that have spilled consistently enough to stain the floor of every foundation of excellence. Overnight success is an illusion. My heroes are proof that it takes time to climb the tree of life, and they remind me that my ascension is the promise of daily effort.

And since this is about to be the song of the summer, here is Calvin Harris“Heatstroke” (feat. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams, &¬†Ariana Grande), which matches the blossoming optimism that this reading inspires in me. You can find this song and many more where that came from on my April 2017 Playlist, only on Tidal.

Week of Monday 2/20/2017

IMG_20170220_020007_448.jpg

ūüĆü

Card 1: “What is my greatest potential this week?”
ūüĒģ: 7 of Congo – La Sir√®ne

It is within my power to prompt interpersonal revelations. If I choose to acknowledge the access I have to disparate domains, I will be able to make memorable connections that might otherwise go unmade.

ūüĆü

Card 2: “What is being asked of me?”
ūüĒģ: 2 of Santer√≠a – Olofi

For the sake of adjusting to this ever-active cycle of personal growth, I must continually re-align my energetic body in response my shifting state of being. It is important that I move around this world in a way that both celebrates and stimulates my creative potential through all the various stages of my development.

ūüĆü

Card 3: “What mystery is being revealed to me this week?”
ūüĒģ: 13 – Les Morts

By the time this week is over, I will have attained a greater awareness of the line that separates life and afterlife. Perhaps the best way to begin this process is to speak with some spirit who knows what it feels like to live through death.

ūüĆü

I pull these cards for me and anyone else aligned with the frequency of my vibration. This is our best week, so let’s live it in the best possible way, with God’s grace and the love of our ancestors… ūüôŹ If you have any questions, or if you are interested in a personal reading of your own, slide all in the way in my DM. Shout-out to Louie Martini√© who created this New Orleans Voodoo Tarot Deck with Sally Ann Glassman.

Card 1:
“What Is My Greatest Potential This Week?”

: 7 of Cups

Just because I have the power¬†to indulge doesn’t mean the indulgence¬†is empowering. Instead of being slave to temptation, I can redirect that passion to propel my productivity. By sublimating my desire nature, I attract¬†reward¬†that align with my worth & transcend the fleeting pleasure¬†of instant gratification.

ūüĆü

Card 2:
“What Is Being Asked Of Me This Week?”

: 15 – The Devil

This “new” world & all its restrictions might seem like the most terribly¬†oppressive¬†form of bondage, but if I choose to maximize¬†the limitations of my circumstance, such boundaries¬†may be used to clarify/streamline¬†my purpose. I must face my fear¬†and focus on the work.

ūüĆü

Card 3:
“What Mystery Is Being Revealed To Me This Week?”

: 19 РThe Sun

Through all the seasons, rain or shine, the sun still rises. Perhaps there is something solar about that “80% percent of life is showing up” quote. If that’s the case, then let’s see what life may come when I put myself out there as a mere expression¬†of my own existence, like the sun does every day.

ūüĆü

Card 4:
“What Is Supporting Me This Week?”

: 9 РThe Hermit

Knowing how and when to draw back and abstain¬†from outside influence will prove beneficial. Because clarity¬†is critical right now, I am being encouraged to respect my “temple” by elevating the space I occupy into a¬†sanctuary¬†of purity and protection against unwanted external energy.

ūüĆü

Card 5:
“What Is Challenging Me This Week?” : Page of Swords

It’s not always easy to stay focused¬†when the wind is blowing in every other direction. My test is to cut through distraction, and instead of prematurely changing the subject, I will be better off finding a refreshing¬†perspective of the same old idea until I achieve culmination.

ūüĆü

Bonus Oracle Card:
“On Which Sign Must I Focus To Maximize My Potential This Week?”

: Sagittarius

And here’s a song¬†to inspire the week ahead. Since the Moon is in Pisces right now, here is a song by Erykah Badu, one of my favorite Pisces Moon artists.

Major Arcana Tarot Correspondence: The Hierophant

the_hierophant_by_simonamooon-d314jpk.jpg

When strife is overtakes stability, there is always that one constant that can be relied on for those who have been led astray. This could very well be a religious figure who assists in the process of spiritual alignment, but less literally, maybe it’s as simple as a prayer or a ritual that is esteemed for its ability to bring order to all the madness of the world. When times are tough, it is of the utmost importance to know where [and to whom] to turn, for time is of the essence and every man must save himself before its too late.

Before projecting a wholesome superiority onto any old tradition or contracted official, it must be verified. Even the most tried, true, and trusted institution is capable of succumbing to corruption. Is there a hidden agenda, and if so, what is it?

___

Astrology:

The Full Moon is the monthly separation of the Sun [ego, identity, expression] and Moon [empathy, intuition, emotion], as they assume their most distant positions in opposite signs. This great space between our luminary bodies allows for a more comprehensive awareness of the energy that has been building, as the moon is illuminated to maximum capacity, revealing momentarily the mysteries of the creation cycle that once were [and will be again] concealed behind the nocturnal veil. Just as visibility increases to supernatural proportions, the emotional atmosphere is heightened prompting what seem to be unusual experiences and outbursts. The earthly realm becomes a mirror image of this cosmic standoff. Holistic awareness and dynamic self-expression are the blessings of the full moon, but a long overdue confrontation could be the prerequisite roadblock that makes it challenging to receive them. The goal is to recognize hidden facets of self instead of projecting dark revelations onto partners/opponents. Then and only then will personal balance be made possible, and thus all else is resolved. In the meantime, as the opposition builds, be prepared to go back and forth.

What happens when the Sun in Scorpio tries to go there but the Moon in Taurus is immovably content on enjoying life right where it is?

Numerology of the Day: 8
[10/16/2016 = 1+0+1+6+2+0+1+6 = 17 = 1+7 = 8]

red-signs-symbol-alphabets-numbers-outlined-numbers-red-number-8-kFv5Ur-clipart.png

What goes around comes around is the idea behind the number 8. Just like the symbol of infinity, this number embodies endlessness. 8 can be the gift that keeps on giving, or it can represent the shackles of bondage to an oppressive circumstance. The result of the 8 energy depends on how its power is wielded. The get back is only as strong as the put out, sort of like karma. Or exactly like karma. If every action has an equal and opposite reaction, then whoever reads this better act accordingly, or else.

Once this personal responsibility is assumed, 8 can elevate ordinary individuals to executive heights. 8 is related to the archetype of the boss, one who has self-control and well as power of the circumstances of subordinates. Ambition, business, and corporation all fall under the rule of this authoritative number. Not so positively, the number 8 may be cumbersome and sensitive to the pressures of this gravitational existence, so people who identify with this vibration must often fight through fatalism. With discipline and balance, 8 can achieve greatness.

Major Arcana Tarot Correspondence for Aries:
IV | The Emperor

emperor 2.jpg

The leader, the ruler, The Emperor. This card is obviously representative of ballers, shot-callers and other authority figures. Anyone who has power enough to warrant a community of followers can be likened to The Emperor archetype. More symbolically, this card signifies the essential centrality from which any game-changing circumstance emanates, as it takes a great deal of personal singularity and unwavering focus to oversee something of such magnitude.

There are many factors that keep an empire up, running, and vital in the face of threats that could come at any time, from every direction, so it takes a skillful commander to be the core that keeps his kingdom together. Not only must he embody the beam that supports the structure of everything and everyone around him, but he must also make executive decisions that reflect the greater good of the common bond they all share, lest he find himself on the receiving end of an ugly uprising.

The Sun in Libra, despite the harmonious beauty it exudes, is often compromised by the external forces. The Moon in Aries at the opposite end of the zodiac is instinctively self-assertive. Why is aggressive Aries considered the opposite sign amiable Libra?

When the Sun is in Libra, the focus in this existence revolves very much around the refinement of anything that is otherwise unappealing, infuriating, or rough around the edges. When the Moon moves into opposite sign Aries, however, everyone will be forced to confront the unadulterated, sometimes aggressively inconsiderate manifestations of animal energy that we’ve tried so steadfastly to beautify and pacify. There is only so many Libran niceties one can employ before the Aries beast is released, because one’s most basic, uncomplicated, straightforward nature can only be contained or made-over for so long before it fights its way through the strategically pleasing surface. What’s coming to light under this Aries Full Moon is The Self, raw and unfiltered.

For anyone who’s struggled to smooth over an interpersonal disagreement, clarity is to be expected. That doesn’t mean it will end well – in fact, it might be downright brutal. Aries is the sign that is most associated with war and combat, so don’t be surprised if the gloves come off and the little disagreement becomes an epic confrontation. Unresolved rage may rear its ugly head now. Many will make the “wrong” move, some will get hurt and hurt others. It doesn’t have to get to that point, but sometimes, it’s in everyone’s best interest to just…¬†get to the point. ¬†Get angry. Go OFF. Folks are easily offended when the Sun is in Libra, but the Moon in Aries doesn’t¬† mind facing the offensive feelings that are bound to arise, so calling out fouls that have gone unpunished might be the most appropriate release right now [beware, though, because people who are habitually offended are at risk of having their own offenses exposed during this time. Yikes.]. In a similar vein, a decisive verdict is likely to be the given to anyone who has filed a claim or grievance, although some plaintiffs will be tempted to take matters into their own hands if they feel as though justice hasn’t been served.

Conversely, any volatile arrangement that makes it through this Full Moon to a better place is to be celebrated. It’s not easy to ameliorate¬†hatred¬†in relationships. Any partners who are able to conquer their differences are on to something special.

Numerology of the Day:
1

[8+2+2+0+1+6 = 19 = 1+9 = 10 = 1+0 = 1]

Like the fateful moments before the Big Bang [theoretically] exploded in a dazzling display of unadulterated life force energy, particles of apparent nothingness are colliding violently to form the perfect storm of pure creative potential that is the number 1.

Just as phallic as its symbol suggests,  1 is the spark of potent possibility that penetrates past the formulaic fixtures of the world to stimulate the origination of new forms. Through sheer will power and singular focus, 1 is able to bring to fruition anything it so chooses, even if it is inconceivable to those who lack visionary awareness. 1 is the number that represents the pioneer or the inventor that changes the course of life with the bright idea he or she manifests.

Think of 1 as a magic wand, in that when it is directed with deliberate intention, life can be exactly as one wishes it to be. This is an example of the determination inherent in this number, as well as its leadership qualities. Not everyone, however, appreciates such dominant force, so it is wise to be present and personalize interactions on a case by case basis when wielding the commanding essence of the number 1. Even if domination is explicitly the goal [hey… it happens], a thoughtlessly offensive presentation is a surefire way to become public enemy number one.

The lowest expression of the number 1 is probably its propensity for egotism and self-centeredness. After all, it is hard not to take things personal when one think itself the center of the universe. When negative, people resonating with this energy will stop at nothing to win, even to the detriment and alienation of others.

Although extremely individualistic,¬†1 signifies total, undivided unification. In this aspect,¬†1 reminds us of how, when concentrated and in perfect alignment, anything can happen. Pay special attention to any ‚Äúfirsts‚ÄĚ that come to be, as there is something magical about doing something that has never been done before.

Rarely does brute force subdue the mightiest of beasts. Where physical intimidation and unsophisticated aggression fail, purity of will prevails every time. There is something undeniable about a being that aligns itself with the most noble posture, for it dares entities it encounters to aspire to a similarly regal disposition, and this tactic can be dramatically more effective than a thoughtlessly blunt attempt at a take down attack.

The New Moon is the monthly meeting of the Sun and the Moon in the same sign. This combination makes for a great potency that, when harnessed, encourages anything that is initiated or asked. The best time to set New Moon intentions is the following few days after the aspect is exact, once the dust has settled, but the day of is usually fine too. Warning: avoid setting intentions before the New Moon is exact and/or during the void-of-course moon. [See below for the best times to make your wish.]

Major Arcana Tarot Correspondence for Capricorn:
XV | The Devil

Some might say that Hell is really here on Earth. In that case, it would be advisable to look at this physical dimension as The Devil’s dominion. Who better then to call upon than this guy to make the most of this material world and master the five senses? When his energy is harnessed with “upright” intentions, The Devil can be a great taskmaster who bestows lessons of discipline and concentration unto his ambitious students. This card appears to endorse the value of not only respecting, but also working optimally within a defined set of boundaries. The ones who overstep those boundaries, however, are likely to have a much different experience of this wicked archetype upon which the unconscious idea of evil is projected.

The Devil is concerned only with the “real” world. Spirituality, enlightenment, and love are not so important in this realm, and those qualities are probably¬†lacking when this card is drawn. The Devil is a reminder that as one endeavors toward the most impressive peaks of professional success and tangible attainment, the calculation and determination that are required to dominate the earth element leave little room for the consideration of abstract sentiment. At its most decadent, The Devil is bound unapologetically to the temporarily gratifying but insidiously¬†destructive¬†pleasures of the flesh, ranging from a little raunchy to incredibly grotesque, possibly to the detriment of the “higher self” and the accomplishments toward which one strives. A sacrifice might be in order.

Major Arcana Tarot Correspondence for Sagittarius:
XIV | Temperance

14temperance.jpg

After dealing with some of the Tarot’s more extreme archetypal circumstances, Temperance pops out of the deck as a reminder of moderation. Sometimes it’s more appropriate to lay back and be patient, even as the world seems to be spinning out of control. Do what must be done, but beware of doing too much too soon. Depending on the stakes of the situation, maybe it’s¬†better to leave it alone altogether, whatever “it” may be.

Even in the bleakest of conditions, there is always a way to make the circumstance work, even if it takes a little magic in the form of alchemy. To be cliche, take all the lemons that life has given and make the best lemonade that lemons can make – with some other helpful¬†ingredients, of course. Perhaps it’s best to focus less on getting rid of something [or someone] bothersome and to concentrate on transmuting trouble to triumph instead, thereby ensuring that victory will be the destination of this long journey.

Rather than acting thoughtlessly or giving into reckless reactivity, Temperance urges us to ponder the possibilities of the future, as well as how they may be affected. Play around with all available elements and realign resources to elicit exciting new effects and create unexplored contexts. The decision to bide time shouldn’t render one inactive. Anyone who equates apparent stillness to stasis is foolish, and more likely than not, that fool will be the one who ends up holding the losing hand.
