The storm has been stirred and it gets more tumultuous with each encounter, so good luck trying to contain it. In fact, the more you do, the farther it will blow when it finally comes out. Like a volcano, this brewing potion is its own entity, and it could climax at any given moment. It might explode today, or it could simmer for centuries until it cools into “what could have been”. Who knows?

kjiehTV – jupiter in the 8th house interview [#StarsAndSymbols]

So I was asked by Kjieh, a fellow astrologer, one who’s insights and work ethic I truly admire, to be featured in his “8th House interviews” series. As that would suggest, he was looking to interview individuals with major planetary placements in the 8th House. As I have Jupiter in this house of sex, death, regeneration, occult matters, inheritance/other people’s resources, and transformation [among other things], I was totally interested in sharing myself as the embodiment of the essence of this natal placement.  Continue reading

Saturn in Sagittarius: A Line Drawn in the Name of Freedom [#StarsAndSymbols]

The unresolved issue of racism that has been swept under the rug or sugar-coated has resurfaced as an international conversation of white privilege, police brutality, and cultural appropriation. From the #BlackLivesMatter to the very recent #RachelDolezal case that has taken the internet by storm, it is apparent that we are not as post-racial as we’d like to believe. Then there’s the question of LGBTQ rights with gay marriage legalization and the big reveal [“coincidentally” synchronized with the Sagittarius Full Moon] of transgender male to female Caitlyn Jenner. Feminism is also a hot topic, and again, one that proves we are not as progressive as we may have thought. These might be seen as exclusively American, and to an extent maybe so, but just at look a all the riotous uprisings around the world, all in the name of freedom.

liberty-and-justice[1]

Speaking of Sagittarius [scroll up a little bit, Forgetful Freddie], Saturn has occupied this expansive sign since December. Saturn’s energy is that of a rigid taskmaster, The One who makes us face our fears in order to strengthen the foundation on which we stand. In the sign of truth, culture, and morality, Saturn pressures the people to draw a definitive line regarding those topics – or at to least to ask the tough questions that we as a global society tend to avoid [ie, “what does it mean to be black?” “am I born this way?” “why is it taboo to breastfeed in public?”]. Saturn, a reminder that we reap what we sow, rules results, consequences, and karma.

daily 4cast: 4/6/2015 [#StarsAndSymbols]

Monday
4/6/2015
Starring:
Sun [in Aries] conjunct Uranus [in Aries]
Mercury [in Aries] trine Jupiter [in Leo]
Co-Starring:
Moon [in Scorpio] trine Neptune [in Pisces]
Moon [in Scorpio] square Jupiter/Juno [in Leo]
Moon [in Scorpio] sextile Pluto [in Capricorn]

There is something on your mind, but you’ve been hesitant to say it. If you’re not careful it could slip and cause a whole commotion, the very ruckus you were trying to avoid. Once it’s out, there’s no looking back, so be ready to stand by your word.

Fortunately, the atmosphere is buoyant with humor and provocative playfulness, so the likelihood of any significant verbal spars is small even if you say too much. Disagreement, if it comes to that, can be therapeutic, as expression is always better than repression. To be safe, dedicate a moment or two to meditative silence and stillness so that when you do communicate what’s been on your heart, you are able to speak from a place of total purity. The most important thing is that you radiate truth in all you do, because when you engage honestly with The Others, you have the potential to awaken alternative perspectives and provoke thoughts that could totally change someone’s life. Isn’t that a radical idea?

space-between-your-thoughts

Despite the interpersonal awareness that defined the recent past, you have little patience for people pleasing or superficial pleasantries today, which means that you will be you as unapologetically as possible. “Come as you are” is your mantra, and if they don’t like it, you don’t really care. Now’s your chance to live for yourself, because way too much time has passed with you putting other people’s needs before your own. Continue reading

daily 4cast: 3/20/2015 [#StarsAndSymbols]

Starring:

Featuring:
Sun enters Aries

You can read any astrologer’s webpage right now and see something big is brewing. But, you are here with me, and I thank you.

A New Moon/Total Solar Eclipse in the 29th and final degree of Pisces [aka the last degree of the ENTIRE 360 degree zodiac] kicks the morning off, followed later in the evening by the vernal equinox. The equinox is the commencement of the Spring season, which is heralded by Aries The Ram as the sun enters the first degree of the first sign, thereby reigniting the annual solar cycle. Happy New Year 😀

But back to that eclipse, because before you begin again, something must come to an end. And what more significant way to end an era than to witness a total solar eclipse in the last chronological position it could possibly be. Eclipses, BTW = big changes and sudden shifts… moving on.

CAM03537-1Since this day is obviously a big, dramatic finale leading us into some bigger, unprecedented premiere, I decided to consult my new tarot cards in a spread called “All Things Change”. There are four cards, and each one drawn represents a different aspect of the divination. I asked “What is changing with this New Moon Solar Eclipse?” Continue reading

go there, but don’t stay: 8/3/14 [#MyBestWeek]

Screen shot 2014-01-13 at 3.46.03 AM

one of the most gut-wrenching feelings is to desire something or someone so fervently only to have it be snatched away in plain sight. there is little we can do to overcome that anguish, so our only choice is to live with it, to feel it completely. cry if need be. it is important for us to go there, but it would be a mistake to stay. self-destruction and downward spirals are the results of festering sentiment that has found no outlet or expression. if we have it, we have to do something with it, or else it will do something to us.

the alchemist: 6/29/14 [#MyBestWeek]

Screen shot 2014-01-13 at 3.46.03 AM

it is easy this week for us to identify exactly where we are losing life force energy by giving away our power. there are many ways we keep ourselves powerless without even realizing it. in order to bring these unconscious tendencies into the realm of awareness, we must honestly assess the interactions and activities that leave us feeling drained.

the crash of disappointment that is experienced after the false fulfillment of temporary satisfaction is an indication that we are wasting our energy on instant gratification and superficially quick results rather than exercising the full potential and focused patience of true power. is it easy to believe that we become more powerful by controlling external circumstances, specifically the people in our environments, but that is untrue. by focusing on manipulation of the “other” to get what we want instead of trusting our ability to successfully navigate any possible scenario, we actually forfeit all self-control, rendering us powerless. when things don’t go our way, many of us hold grudges that affect us adversely while the objects of our contempt are living their lives, unbothered and empowered by our resentment. obsession, addiction, attachment, the list goes on, and these are all ways we unknowingly relinquish our personal power. as the self-sabotage becomes clearer, the next logical step is to change our ways.

the thrill is gone?: 5/4/14 [#MyBestWeek]

Screen shot 2014-01-13 at 3.46.03 AM

if the thrill is gone and the hot pursuit to get it back in full effect. we have been teased with too close encounters that haven’t quite managed to make it off the ground, and i get the feeling we are craving the excitement of the real thing. rather than sitting and wait for the next big thing to make its presence known, we must take matters into our own hands and make it happen, no matter how dangerously impossible that mission may seem. mars is impulse and the subsequent response to such stimuli, so no matter what happened before or what we thought would happen in the future, it is best that we act urgently the present moment lest we allow a new experience to pass us by. there is no certainty in the initiation of a new endeavor, but there is fun to be had in the most suspenseful moments. anything can happen.

our desires are not satiated by a quick skim of the surface. the only thing that can quench our thirst is to dive furiously into the depths of that which captures our attention. we may not be able to see it, but our senses tell us that there is more juice to be squeezed underneath the sometimes deceptively dry facade. scorpio has a deep-seated desire to penetrate beyond the exterior to trespass the territory that is otherwise off-limits. the most succulent fruit is forbidden or hidden from plain sight, and it can not be fully enjoyed if any ounce of it is left unearthed. some of us have settled into a state of brittle inertia, waiting hopelessly for someone to bless us with an all access backstage pass, forgetting that we have the potential to exercise our own inner VIP at any given moment by using what we got to get what we want (and yes, that was a player’s club reference). it is important for us to know intimately who we are and what we have to offer by periodically plumbing our own shadow to bring the darkness to light, as this will only help us to perceive and pursue the adrenaline rush of possibilities that often arise in external world, which is what we need to do at the current moment in order to avoid the depression of inactivity.

excuses for inaction are invalidated by our proximity to dynamism. sparks don’t fly if nothing is plugged in, so it is in our best interest to stay actively connected to our community. no matter how we familiar we think we are with our network and the people within it, there is always some new source of stimulation to be stumbled upon, or so suggests the ever-inquisitive 3rd house. curiosity might have killed the cat, but it will elicit the very exhilaration for which we are pining. novelty is the key to inspiring the enthusiasm needed to jumpstart our engines.
